Starting and stopping the shredder
Press the switch marked “1” to start the appliance.
Press the switch marked “0” to stop the appliance.
Press the “circuit breaker” button if the machine does not switch on, this will
ensure that you have the correctly connected the power supply.
The circuit breaker will become activated when one of the following has occurred:
There is a build up of material around the cutting disc.
If the material being shredded exceeds the size of the motor capacity.
When there is too much resistance against the cutting blade.
Once the circuit breaker becomes activated switch-off the shredder and disconnect the
electrical supply, then proceed as follows before restarting the machine:
1.
Unscrew the securing knob (located next to the switch) and open the top section
of the appliance.
2.
Remove any debris or material clogging the cutting area.
3.
Return the top section of the appliance back to its original place and tighten the
“securing knob”.
4.
Allow the motor to cool for a short period of time.
5.
Re-connect the power cord to the mains supply.
6.
Press the start button and begin shredding again.
