Operating the appliance



Plug the appliances cord into the mains and switch the power supply on.



Press the mains switch to on (this is marked by the “1” symbol).



Feed the material you wish to be shredded into the corner of the in-feed chute.
If the material is too bulky the shredder will not allow it to pass through. If the
material is the correct size it will be drawn into the blades. Please note that long
material extending out from the cutting blades present a hazard. When
shredding small material please use the plunger provided (Fig 9).



Allow the appliance to shred the material before adding more.



When you have shredded the desired amount of material, turn the appliance off
(marked by the symbol “0”).



Remove the collection bag and empty.



Clean the appliance thoroughly before storage (refer to “Maintenance, cleaning
and storage”).

Using the plunger

A plunger is provided with the shredder, please use the plunger to feed smaller
material into the chute using the following steps:



Load the material into the hopper.



Insert the plunger into the feed chute
pushing the material onto the blade disc.
(Fig 9).



Wait until all the material has been
shredded before adding more material.

Please note: Your fingers should never enter into
the feed chute when the appliance is in use. Do
not use the appliance without the hopper
attached. Do not overreach when using the
appliance.
