INSTALLATION

HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRICAL HOOK-UPS

Hydraulic and electrical hook-ups will vary with the type of installation. See Table A below for
your hydraulic hook-ups and wiring diagrams for your installation.

NOTE: The POWERHOLD, when used in conjunction with a POWERAMP or CHALLENGER

dock leveler are to be interconnected at time of installation. Refer to Table A for
proper electrical diagrams.

All control units have, provided as standard, a terminal box for interconnecting to
overhead doors.

Electrical power from panel to control box not shown.

INSTALLATION CHECK-OUT

The green light on the driver alert unit and the red light on the control unit must be on
before operating the POWERHOLD truck restraint system. If the lights are not functioning
in this manner, recheck the electrical hook-up.

When the restraint is operated, the lights will not change unless a truck ICC bar is found.
When the ICC bar is found, the rack moves forward and targets a proximity switch. To
simulate this action, with the restraint up, insert a metal object through the 1.5 inch
diameter hole located in the front plate (covered by weatherseal) and target proximity on
right hand side. Driver alert lights should switch to red and control unit lights to green; the
lights will hold this position until restraint is lowered.
