Required Network/System Information
•
Application Directory: Make sure you know which machine Intelli-
Track ISRP will be installed on, and the drive letter of the \Intelli-
Track ISRP directory (where the application executable resides).
Note: The application directory represents the target path where the work-
station application executable resides.
•
Authentication Type: When adding the database to an existing SQL
Server installation, know the type of authentication used by your sys-
tem:
Mixed security: If Mixed security is used, the sa password is required.
Windows domain security only: If this option is used by the system,
users must be given read/write permissions to the ISRP database
BEFORE running ISRP.

Operating System: Verify the operating system installed on your Intel-
liTrack ISRP target server PRIOR to the installation of the database
server. Verify the operating system installed on your IntelliTrack ISRP
target workstation PRIOR to the installation of the workstation soft-
ware. Please see Table 1, “ISRP v8.1 Application Requirements,” on
page 2 for supported operating systems.

Remote Data Access (RDA): Your workstation application database
and your CE Client batch portable application database use Remote
Data Access to communicate with each other. RDA involves several
components, which must be configured BEFORE you install the CE
Client application on the handheld device. RDA includes the worksta-
tion application, Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft Active-
Sync, Windows Active Directory Authentication, Microsoft SQL
Server, and Microsoft SQL Server CE.
•
Administrative Privileges: To install the application, administrative
privileges at the PC are required.
•
Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center: Depend-
ing on your operating system, either Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows
Mobile Device Center must be installed on your PC BEFORE you
install IntelliTrack ISRP.
