Batch Installation Prerequisites for Windows Vista and
Windows 7
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, follow these basic steps for
batch installation preparation:
1.
Specific IIS settings must be turned on PRIOR to IntelliTrack ISRP
installation on the device. This includes: Turning On IIS, Turning On
IIS Web Management Tools, and Turning On IIS World Wide Web Ser-
vices. Please refer to “Required IIS Settings for Windows Vista and
Windows 7” on page 19 for more information.
2.
Familiarize yourself with the RDA components. Please refer to
“Remote Data Access (RDA) Components” on page 26 for more infor-
mation.
3.
Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) Software must be installed
on the PC and a Windows Mobile Partnership between the PC and the
device must be set up. Please refer to “Using Mobile Device Center
Software” on page 8, “WMDC Work Network Connection Setting” on
page 9, and “Setting Up a Windows Mobile Partnership” on page 9 for
more information.
4.
IntelliTrack ISRP uses Remote Data Access for workstation-batch
database communication. You must determine your setup option and go
through the RDA setup configuration steps before installing Intelli-
Track ISRP. Please refer to “RDA Configuration” on page 29 for more
information.
5.
After you install your IntelliTrack software, test your setup by going to
the ISRP Batch Synchronization Utility and testing the Sync URL set-
ting. Please refer to “Sync URL Setting” on page 69 for more informa-
tion.
6.
If you are using a Firewall, certain ports must be set as Firewall excep-
tions. Please refer to “Applying Firewall Exceptions” on page 37 for
more information.
7.
Make sure that User Account Control (UAC) is disabled. Please refer to
“Disabling User Account Control (UAC)” on page 10 for more infor-
mation.
8.
Determine the IntelliTrack Device Installation that you will use for
installing the IntelliTrack ISRP application to your device. Please refer
to “Determining your Device Installation” on page 71.
