Key XT Series Device Option Settings (continued)
Device Name
The XT Series Device name (which may already be assigned) is
used to identify the device in the following situations:
― Synchronizing with a PC
― Connecting to a network
― Restoring information from a backup
Assigning or changing the device name and/or description:
1. From the Start menu tap Settings
(icon)> System (folder) > About
(icon).
2. Tap the Device ID tab.
3. Enter a Device name. The Device
name cannot exceed 15
characters. It must begin with a
letter, consist of letters from A to
Z, numbers from 0 to 9 and
cannot contain spaces. Use the
underscore character to separate
words.
4. Enter a Description. The
Description cannot exceed 50
characters. It must begin with a
letter, consist of letters from A to
Z, numbers from 0 to 9 and
cannot contain spaces. Use the underscore character to separate words.
 IMPORTANT NOTE!
To synchronize multiple XT Series devices with the
same PC, each device must have a unique name.
