3.2 Camera Core
For the standard Pearl Camera Core, the Power Board provides all external connections. There is
one connector for power and video and a second connector for the RS232 interface.

3.2.1 RS232 Connection
A three position receptacle is used for the RS232 connections
for TXD, RXD and Ground. The adapter supplied in the Pearl
OEM Camera Kit has a RS232 connector on one end. Use a
standard RS232 cable to connect between the adapter and
the host computer.
3.2.2 Power and Video Connection
A four position plug provides a connection for power and video output. Connect the power lead
to a power supply capable of a voltage between 9 and 20 Volts. The adapter cable provided in
the Pearl OEM Camera Kit supplies an adapter that provides a jack that mate to the 12-volt
power supply, which is also in the kit. The adapter also
provides a RCA receptacle for a video cable to connect
to a monitor.
