Introduction

In this Getting Started Guide, it is assumed that the reader
has all the information needed to perform a remote
connection to the ProFlex Web Server (IP address, login and
password).

This guide more particularly focuses on how to successfully
configure a receiver via the ProFlex Web Server, meaning that
the reader is supposed to log in using the administrator
profile.

First the Home page and the status bar are described. Then
several typical applications of rover and base configurations
are presented from which the reader will be able to learn that
lots of specific configurations can be implemented by
skillfully combining the various and powerful functions
offered by the receiver.

If you need more information about how to make the ProFlex
Web Server accessible through an IP connection, how to
manage administrator and user profiles and what information
is available on status pages, please refer to the Reference
Manual
.

For configuring and monitoring a receiver used as a CORS
station or with its embedded NTRIP caster (a firmware
option), you may also read the short manual entitled ProFlex
CORS Getting Started Guide
.

What is the ProFlex Web Server and what is it for? The ProFlex
Web Server is a receiver-embedded, HTML-based firmware
application designed to enable users to monitor or control the
ProFlex 800 through a TCP/IP connection.

After making a TCP/IP connection physically possible
between a computer and the receiver (via its Ethernet port),
run a web browser on your computer (e.g. Mozilla FireFox,
Microsoft Internet Explorer). Type the IP address (or host
name) of the receiver in the address box, then press the Enter
key. This launches the Web Server in the receiver, which in
turn opens a web page in the web browser of the computer.

Who is allowed to use a receiver’s Web Server application?
The answer is anyone who has been given the IP address or
host name of the receiver as well as a connection profile, i.e.
a login and a password. These are the only parameters
required to perform a remote connection through the Internet
and run the Web Server.
