Your Avaya 1165E IP Deskphone can be powered by standard IEEE
802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or by AC power. If using PoE,
where power is delivered over the LAN cabling infrastructure to the
phone (IEEE 802.3af), you do not require an AC adapter.
To use local AC power, use only the Avaya-approved Global Power
Supply (NTYS17xxE6) and country-specific IEC cable, which are
ordered separately.
If using local power, connect the global power supply to the AC
adapter jack in the bottom of the IP Deskphone. Form a small bend in
the cable, and then thread the adapter cord through the channels in
the stand.
