BASIC MENU OPERATIONS
Basic operation of the SETUP MENU is described here.
1 Select DVD/CD function.
Press FUNCTION repeatedly on the main unit or press DVD/
CD on the remote control.
2 Press SETUP.
The “SETUP MENU” screen is displayed.

3 Press i or k to select the item to be changed.
4 Press ENTER to select the desired setting.
5 Press SETUP.
To exit the setup menu
Press SETUP.
To confirm your setting
1 Press SETUP to display the setup menu.
2 Press SETUP again to exit the setup menu without making
changes.
NOTE
• While the setup screen is displayed, you will not be able to
perform other operations on the unit. Press SETUP again to
exit the setup screen first.
RATING
Sets the rating limit allowed to playback on this unit when playing
discs with restriction level encoding.
To change the restriction
level, you have to input the password.
The default setting is “UNLOCK”.
1 Select “RATING” in the “SETUP MENU”.
2 Press ENTER.
3 Use 0-9 to input password.
default: 1234

4 Press ENTER.
5 Press ENTER repeatedly to select your desired level.
“UNLOCK” cancels the rating level.
The smaller the number , the higher the level of restriction.
For instance, setting the rating level to 1 will restrict playback
of all discs with a rating level from 2 to 8, either by cutting
certain scenes or disabling playback altogether
, depending on
the disc.
Check your disc for details.
6 Press SETUP.
The setting is completed.
PASSWORD
The password needs to be entered not to prevent the playback
of the disc whose rating level is higher than the unit’
s setting.
The password can be changed to your taste.
1 Select “PASSWORD” in the “SETUP MENU” and press
ENTER.

2 Use 0-9 to input four-digit old password.
default: 1234
3 Use 0-9 to input four-digit new password.
Do not forget the password you set!
4 Press ENTER.
5 Press SETUP.
The setting is completed.
If you forget your password (Resetting the DVD setup)
1 Press SETUP to display SETUP MENU.
2 Select “RA TING” in the “SETUP MENU” and press ENTER.
3 Input four-digit number “2580” and press
ENTER.
All the item of the DVD setup are reset.
