Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 2
seconds.

Press the f UP button repeatedly to select
“SUB-W.”

Press the TUNE button to toggle mode between
SUB-W ON and SUB-W OFF.

Press the SETUP button after setting the SUB-W
ON.

Press the MODE button repeatedly to select the
SUB-W mode.

Rotate Audio Control knob until the desired

sound is obtained in each mode.

Adjusting Display Contrast

You can adjust the display contrast for better
visibility.

Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 2
seconds.

Press the f UP button repeatedly to select
“CONTRAST.”

Press the TUNE button to adjust the contrast of
the display. You can adjust in a range of -5 and
+5.
The initial setting at the factory is "0."

Press the SETUP button to set the selected
mode.

Basic Operation

Adjusting Source Signal Level

If the difference in volume level between the CD
player and FM radio is too great, adjust the FM
signal level as follows.

Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 2
seconds.

Press the f UP button repeatedly to select
"FM-LEVEL."
Each press of the f UP button scrolls the
modes as follows:

∗ Displayed when you set SUB-W to ON.
NOTE

When you press the g DN button, the display scrolls
in the reverse sequence.

Press the TUNE button to select the FM signal
level mode. Each press toggles between "FM-
LEVEL HI" (High) and "FM-LEVEL LO" (Low).

Press the SETUP button to activate the normal
mode.
