Select a server.

Click the Configuration tab.

Click Storage Adapters in the Hardware panel.

Select the iSCSI initiator you want to configure from the list of available storage adapters, and then click
Properties. The General Properties dialog box shows the initiator status, default name, and alias.

Click Configure.

(Optional) Type a new name to change the default iSCSI name for your initiator. The name you enter
must be worldwide unique and properly formatted so that all storage devices can recognize the
software iSCSI initiator.
IMPORTANT:
An iSCSI name change applies to new iSCSI sessions only. Existing sessions do
not use the new settings until you log out and log in again.

Click OK to save your changes.
Configuring iSCSI on ESXi 5.x

Log in to the vSphere Client.
2.
Select the host server.
3.
Click the Configuration tab.
4.
Click Storage Adapters in the Hardware panel. This lists all storage controllers available on the host
server.
