Using Storage Provisioner

51

OpenView Storage Provisioner User Guide

Regardless of the host operating system, Storage Provisioner supports 256
hosts per storage utility containing HSV110 storage systems.

5. Click Finish to complete the action or Cancel to stop the action.

When you click Finish, the new storage utility displays in the Navigation pane.

Modifying Utilities

To modify an existing utility:

1. In the Storage Utilities tab, select a storage utility listed in the Navigation

pane.

2. Click Modify on the toolbar.

A window opens to step you through the process to modify the selected
storage utility’s information.

3. Modify the Utility Name or the Host OSes (HSG80 only). Remember, the

display reflects the fields for the appropriate storage system, HSG80 or
HSV110.

The storage utility name must be unique.

Changing the host OSes for the storage utility (HSG80 storage systems
only) alters the number of available paths. If the change decreases the
available paths to fewer than the number of paths already in use for
customer quotas, a warning message displays, and an event is added to the
event log.

4. Click Finish to complete the action or Cancel to stop the action.

When you click Finish, the modifications are updated for that utility.

Deleting Utilities

To delete a utility:

Caution:

Before deleting a utility, you must remove all assigned storage

systems, paths, and quotas. Otherwise, an information message displays.

1. In the Storage Utilities tab, select a storage utility listed in the Navigation

pane.

2. Click Delete on the toolbar.

A window opens where you confirm the delete action.
