Overview
Storage Provisioner provides a complete storage management solution for storage
utility providers and storage consumers. The Provisioning tab allows you to view
your storage customers’ environment, to allocate new storage, and to control host
access. When you select the Provisioning tab, a customized set of toolbar buttons
displays to help you manage your storage. It lets you select a customer and display
the selected customer’s storage environment. Additionally, you can perform the
same tasks as your storage customer to manage the customer’s provisioning
requirements.
Note: The Provisioning tab in Storage Provisioner for Providers provides the same tasks
as the Manage Storage tab in Storage Provisioner for Consumers.
You can manage your customer’s provisioning requirements using the following
features:
■ Select a customer and view the provisioning environment.
■ Create, modify, and delete hosts.
■ Create, modify, and delete paths.
■ Create, modify, and delete volumes.
■ Assign volumes for usage.
Using the Provisioning Tab
To use the Provisioning tab:
1. Start Storage Provisioner for Storage Providers.
2. Select the Provisioning tab.
When you select the Provisioning tab, the Provisioning toolbar displays.
