Procedure 23 Changing the database associated with the CMS
1. Open a command prompt on the CMS and navigate to the install directory of HP SIM.
2. Type the following and then press Enter.
mxreconfig —m sqlredirect -s <dbserver> -b <dbname> -a
<dbuserDomain\dbuser>
Where:
•
-a <dbuser>
Name of the database user with administrative privileges, must include domain name.
•
-b <dbname>
Name of the new database.
•
-s <dbserver>
Name of the new database server
3. Enter the database password when prompted, and then press Enter.
