To resume the write operation to the S-VOLs, you need to issue the FCWITHDR command with the
ACTION parameter specified. For detailed information about the FCWITHDR command, see

(page 105)

If a timeout occurs, the write operation may be resumed although you do not issue the FCWITHDR
command. The default setting for the timeout is 120 seconds (2 minutes); however, you may change
it. To change the timeout period (SCP time):

CAUTION:

Remember that the state-change-pending time (SCP time) of Version 2 and TrueCopy

for Mainframe is the same. Therefore, when you are going to change the state-change-pending
time of Version 2, you need to decide on the setting value, considering that the state-change-pending
time of TrueCopy for Mainframe will be also changed to the same value. For information about

Change the operation mode of Remote Web Console to Modify mode.

Display the FCv2 window.

If you are already displaying another window, click the FCv2 tab. For information about how
to display the FCv2 window directly by starting up Remote Web Console, see the HP
XP24000/XP20000 Remote Web Console User Guide

In the Tree in the FCv2 window, select the LDKC that contains the CU for which you want to
change the state-change-pending time.

The list of CUs is displayed on the right.

4.

Select and then right-click the CU that you want to change the state-change-pending time.

The menu is displayed.

If you select multiple CUs at a time, set the same state-change-pending time to all selected
CUs.

Select the SCP Time Setting command from the menu.

The Set SCP Time dialog box (

) is displayed.

6.

Enter the state-change-pending time you want to set for the selected CUs.

7.

Click OK.

The Set SCP Time dialog box closes and the changed state-change-pending time is displayed in
the FCv2 window.

To change the state-change-pending time for other CUs, repeat steps 1 through 6.

2.

Click Apply.

A confirmation message is displayed, asking if it is OK to apply the changes of
state-change-pending time to the storage system.

3.

Click OK.

The setting in the Set SCP Time dialog box is applied to the storage system, and the
state-change-pending time changes.
