Before you begin
Take the appropriate precautionary measures before you connect the
Avaya 1230 IP Deskphone.
CAUTION
Consult your system administrator to
ensure that you plug your IP Deskphone
into a 10/100BaseT Ethernet jack. To
avoid severe damage to your IP
Deskphone, do not plug your Avaya 1230
IP Deskphone into a regular phone jack.
CAUTION
Use your Avaya 1230 IP Deskphone only
in an indoor environment.
