A trouble with the system does not always mean the failure. Before calling for service, check the following table

according to the symptom of trouble.

Amplifi er/Speaker Section

No sound output.

Reconnect the cords properly.

Increase the volume level.

Cancel muting.

If headphones are plugged in, unplug them.

The [STANDBY/TIMER] flashes red

and no sound is output.

An internal fault may be produced. Turn the system OFF, unplug

the power cord and call for service.

No sound from headphones.

Check if headphone plug is inserted properly.

Increase the volume level.

Cancel muting.

The time of the day is not displayed.

Set the time of the day.

Timer cannot be activated.

Set the time of the day ([STANDBY/TIMER] indicator is flashing

in orange).

Set the On time and Off timer of program timer.

Tuner Section

Symptom

Remedy

Radio stations cannot be tuned.

Connect the antenna(s).

Select the correct tuning band (tuning mode).

Tune into the frequency of the desired station.

Noise interferes with reception.

Install the outdoor antenna away from the road.

Turn OFF the electric appliances installed near this system.

Install the system away from a TV set.

Preset stations cannot be called.

Preset radio stations with AUTO MEMORY again.

Preset stations with receivable frequencies manually.

USB Section

Symptom

Remedy

Sound is not output even when

a USB flash memory or USB mass

storage class compatible audio

player is connected.

Insert the USB flash memory properly.

Connect the USB cable properly.

Check if the USB mass storage class compatible digital audio

player is turned ON.
