Connection of external components

The Line output can be used to connect an external component such as a speaker

with built-in amplifier.

The USB connector can be used to connect an external component such as a stereo

set with USB capability.

Connect an external component

Connect it to the [LINE OUT] terminal of this unit.

• Prepare an optimum audio cable (commercially available) according to the input

terminal of the connected external component.

• When using a FM transmitter, noise may be interfered depending the installation

environment, including the vehicle model, devices in the surroundings and the
antenna positioning.

• Do not use or leave this unit or connected component in an automobile

compartment with high temperatures. Otherwise, equipment failure may result.

• During monitoring of the recorded audio through the speaker(s) of the external

component, a howling sound may be produced if the speaker(s) is too close to
the microphone. If this happens, increase the distance between the microphone
and speaker(s) or reduce the speaker monitoring volume.
