Symptom

Remedy

Recording standby cannot be
entered.
Recording is impossible.

The hold function is set to “REC.”
Cancel the HOLD function with the HOLD switch on this unit
(page 19).

If the music starts to play, press [

7/BACK] to stop it.

[REC] button:
• Press during stop mode to enter the recording standby mode.
• Press during recording standby to start recording.

Recording from a line input is
impossible.

A plug is connected to the microphone input.
Do not connect anything to the microphone input terminal.

Recording from an external
microphone is impossible.

The PLUG IN POWER switch is set to OFF.
A condenser microphone with the plug-in power compatibility
needs an external power supply. Set the PLUG IN POWER switch to
ON when using such a microphone. (page 33)

A plug is connected to the line input.
Do not connect anything to the line input terminal. (page 33)

Recording from the built-in
microphones is impossible.

A plug is connected to the line input or microphone input.
Do not connect anything to the line input and microphone input
terminals.

Only the left (Lch) audio of the
external microphone can be
recorded.

A monaural microphone is connected.
When a monaural microphone is connected, the audio is recorded
only in the Left channel.
