Turning off on the Charms

To open the Charms, do one of the following:
• Touch screen: Swipe inward from the right edge of the
touch screen.
• Touchpad/Mouse: Move the cursor to the upper- or lower-
right edge of the screen.

Select the Settings charm → Power → Shut down.
Turning off on the Start screen

Select Power ( ) at the upper-right corner of the Start
screen.

Select Shut down.
