Note: Using your phone as a mobile hotspot consumes battery
power and uses data service. While Mobile Hotspot is
active, your phone’s applications will use the Mobile
Hotspot data service. Roaming while using your phone
as a mobile hotspot will incur extra data charges.
Mobile Hotspot Settings
1. From a Home screen, touch
Apps
➔
Settings.
2. Touch More settings
➔ Mobile Hotspot.
3. Touch Configure for options:
• Network SSID: Enter a name for your hotspot. This
name will be displayed in the other device's Wi-Fi
networks listing.
• Hide my device: Do not display your phone’s name in
the other device's Wi-Fi networks listing.
• Security: Set the network connection to Open (no
security) or WPA2 PSK (requires a password).
• Password: Enter a security password. Touch Show
password to display it.
• Show advanced options: Set the Broadcast channel.
4. Touch
Menu for additional options:
• Timeout settings: Set the length of time your device
will be available as a Mobile Hotspot.
Tethering
Use feature lets you share your phone’s mobile data
connection via USB or Bluetooth.
Important! Tethering consumes battery power and increases
your data usage. Roaming while using tethering
will incur extra data charges.

2. Touch More settings
➔ Tethering.
• Mobile Broadband Connect: Share your mobile data
connection via USB.

Connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable
and touch USB tethering to activate the feature.
Follow the onscreen instructions to use USB
tethering.
• Bluetooth tethering: Share your mobile data
connection via Bluetooth.
