Composing a Message
1. From a Home screen, touch Messaging.
2. Touch Compose , and then enter your message:
• Touch the Enter recipient field to manually enter a
recipient or touch to select a recipient from
Contacts. You can also select recipients from Groups,
Favorites, or Recent calls or messages.
• Touch the Enter message field and use the onscreen
keyboard to enter a message.
• Touch to add an attachment. Adding an attachment
changes the message to a multimedia message.
• Touch Menu for more options:
– Insert smiley: Add an emoticon, such as a happy
face, to your message.
– Add text: Copy text from contacts, a calendar event,
or from a memo to add to your message, or insert a
map location or text template.
– Add to contacts: Add the recipient to your Contacts
list. This option only appears if the recipient is not
already in your Contacts list.
– View contact: See information on the recipient. This
option only appears if the recipient is in your Contacts
list.
– Add slide: Add a new page to a message.
– Add subject: Add a subject to a message.
– Priority level: Choose a priority level for sending the
message, from Normal or High.
– Discard: Delete the current message.
Note: If you exit a message before you send it, it will be
automatically saved as a draft.
