1 Select “TV Aspect” in the “SETUP MENU” and

2 Select “WIDE TV 16:9” and press ENTER.
3 Press SETUP to exit the setup menu.

Rating Limit
Setting the rating
The default is “Level 8”.
1 Select “Ratings” in the “SETUP MENU” and press
ENTER.
2 Select your desired level and press ENTER.
The smaller the number, the higher the level of restriction.
For example, setting the rating level to 1 will restrict
playback of all discs with a rating level from 2 to 8, either
by cutting certain scenes or disabling playback altogether,
depending on the disc. Check your disc for details.
3 Select the country code for your country.
The country code needs to be set correctly, since the rating
system differs with the country.
When “Other Country” is selected in the country code,
the display changes to accept 4-digit numbers. Input a 4-
digit country code shown on page 36 in the same way as
the input of the language code (page 33).
4 Press ENTER.
The password entry screen is displayed.
5 Use the numbered buttons and vV to enter a
four-digit password, and press ENTER.
Confirm your password.
Do not forget your password!
If you forgot your password, reset the DVD setup (see
“Resetting DVD setup”, page 38) and re-set all settings
again, including the “Ratings” setting.
6 After confirming the password, press ENTER
again.
7 Press SETUP to exit the setup menu.
Changing the setting
Once the ratings settings have been set, you first need to enter
the password to change them.
1 Select “Ratings” in the “SETUP MENU” and press
ENTER.
2 Input your four-digit password and press ENTER.
3 Select the setting to be changed and press
ENTER.
“Unlock Player” resets the rating level, country and
password setting to default.
4 If you chose “Unlock player”, the message “The
player is unlocked” appears on the display. Press
ENTER.
For other settings, change to your desired setting
and press ENTER.
5 Press RETURN to return to the previous screen
or press SETUP to exit the setup menu.
