Using storage media such as “Memory Stick™” media
What is formatting?
Formatting defines the recording format for your “Memory Stick” media so
that you can access files/data with your CLIÉ handheld.
Notes
• If storage media is reformatted, all the files/data stored on the “Memory Stick” media
will be erased. Make sure you check the files/data prior to formatting so that you do
not delete important files/data.
• When formatting “Memory Stick” media for use with your CLIÉ handheld, be sure to
format it on your CLIÉ handheld. A storage media formatted by any other device may
not be read or written properly on your CLIÉ handheld.
• If you remove the “Memory Stick” media during formatting, the “Memory Stick”
media will not be usable. In this case, insert the storage media again and restart
formatting.
