About the Zapping function

What is Zapping?

Zapping makes channel selection w ith the Remote Commander easy by grouping several channels by genre, or by grouping together your favorite channels.
For example, if you group several sports channels together as a "Sports" Zapping group, you can select a channel you w ant to w atch by hopping from
channel to channel in this group only.

To use the Zapping function, you first need to create a group, called a "Zapping group," and channels w ithin that group are called "Zapping elements." In the
above example, "Sports" is the Zapping group, and each sports channel contained in the group can be called a Zapping element.

To operate a Zapping group w ith the Remote Commander, you need to create a button (w here the Zapping group is allocated) on the Component display. This
button is called a "Zapping view er." Once you create a "Zapping view er" on the Component display, you can scroll the Zapping elements backw ard or

forw ard by pressing the key assigned to either side of the view er key, such as

The above illustration show s the Zapping group's label, "Sports," displayed right after the Component display is displayed on the Remote Commander, in the
