2. Remove the server cover. See “Removing the server cover” on page 23.
3. Lay the server on its side for easier operation.
4. Remove the ThinkServer 9240-8i RAID 0/1 Adapter. See “Removing the RAID card” on page 69 and
follow those instructions to remove the ThinkServer 9240-8i RAID 0/1 Adapter.
5. Remove the 9240-8i RAID 5 key from the ThinkServer 9240-8i RAID 0/1 Adapter.

6. If you are instructed to return the removed 9240-8i RAID 5 key to the manufacturer, follow all packaging
instructions and use any packaging materials that are supplied to you for shipping.
