2 Part identification and functions




1. Head

unit:

The CCD sensor is housed in this unit. This sensor scans
the original.

2. Lamp

unit:

Illuminates the original so the CCD sensor can read the
original more proficiently.

3. Book

table:

Place the original (book, sheet) face up on this table.

4. Book cradle unit (Option):

Enable enhanced scanning of book originals by adjusting to
the contours of the book. See pages 4-8 through 4-13 for
detailed information and limitations.

5. Power

switch:

Turns the Scanner ON/OFF.

6. SCSI

connector:

Connects the SCSI cable.
When multiple SCSI devices are connected to the personal
computer, connect the Scanner at the end of the SCSI chain.
The length of the SCSI cable must be 1.5 m (5ft) or less the
SCSI cable must be 1.5 m (5ft) or less.
