You can expand the work you do with your PowerBook by connecting other
equipment to it, such as a printer, an external modem, or a SCSI device.

Connecting a printer

The printer port on the PowerBook can accept either a direct cable
connection (to a printer such as the StyleWriter) or a network cable
connection.

Some printers, including the Personal LaserWriter SC, are connected through
the SCSI port.

If you are connecting a serial printer, make sure that the modem selection in
the PowerBook Setup control panel is set to Internal. See “Connecting an
External Modem” later in this chapter.

Follow the instructions that came with your printer to connect it to your
computer.
