Connecting Cameras to a Router
Step 1: Connecting your Cameras and PLC modules to the power grid.
Note: It is important that this step is performed first. This step gives the system
time to automatically assign device addresses and establish a communication
network across your power grid.
a. Plug one PLC module into a power outlet
located near your router.
b. Plug one end of a network cable into the PLC
Module…
c. …and plug the other end of the cable into an
open port on the router.
d. Now plug a PLC module into a power outlet
located near each camera.
e. Connect each camera to the PLC Module with
a network cable. Place the camera for best
viewing.
f. Connect power to the camera using the plug in
power supply included with each camera.
