In the "General" register you can configure the network connection, calibrate the
touchscreen, set a system password, and restart a program and the device.

Dialog Box

Function

LAN, Terminal Name

Enter network name of the Thin Client

LAN, [Settings...]

Open dialog for the entry of network parameters.
Possible entries: Obtain IP address via DHCP server or use fixed IP address.

LAN, [Advanced...]

Enter dialog for the entry of extended network parameters.

Possible entries:
Local IP−Address wait time: Waiting time for the reception of an IP address. Increase
the waiting time if an attempt to establish a connection to the server is already
being made although the network has not been initialised correctly yet. This can be
the case for some CE network drivers.
Terminal Server network connection wait time: Waiting time for the establishment
of the network connection to a server. During this time an attempt to access the
server via the network is being made. If the server and the client are started at the
same time, the starting delay of the server can be compensated here.
Terminal Service startup time: After the server is accessible in the network, it may
happen that the terminal service is not fully started yet. By the selection of a
waiting time, the connection attempt of the client can be delayed. The waiting time
is also delayed by a manual connection establishment; therefore it should only be
used for the automatic connection establishment.

Touch, Calibrate Touch [...] Start touch calibration software. For the calibration, dots are displayed on the

screen, which are confirmed by touching the screen.

Configuration Password,
[Settings...]

Open dialog for the entry of a system password. The password protects the
«Terminal Connection Manager» against unauthorised access. If a server session is
aborted, or the «Terminal Connection Manager» is brought into the foreground, the
allocated password has to be entered here.

Possible entries:
Password: Enter old password.
New: Enter new password.
Confirm: Enter new password again.

Please note: If the «Terminal Connection Manager» is accessible via one of the
F−keys, it is possible for any user to change the configuration during a current
terminal session. In this case the password protection should always be activated.
