should consider replacing the charcoal filter once a year, and in
the case of H

2

S or hydrocarbon contamination, more frequently,

like every three-to-six months, depending on the level of the
contamination.

To change one of the filters, remove the rubber fittings on both
ends of the filter, then carefully remove the filter from the metal
brackets that hold it to the back of the GX-2001 Calibration
Station.

Changing the Fuse

A 1/4-inch x 1 1/4-inch fast-acting fuse rated at 1A, 250V
protects the circuitry of the GX-2001 Calibration Station from
electrical overload.

To replace the fuse, do the following:

1. Turn the fuse holder counter clockwise to remove it from the

back of the GX-2001 Calibration Station.

2. To insert a new fuse, put the replacement fuse in the fuse

holder.

3. Insert the fuse and the holder into the back of the GX-2001

Calibration Station.

4. Push the holder in and twist it clockwise until the fuse and

holder are fully seated in the chassis of the GX-2001
Calibration Station.

CAUTION: Under no circumstance should you attempt to open

the chassis of the GX-2001 Calibration Station.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the GX-
2001 Calibration Station. If, for example, you
experience a problem with the flow rate that you
cannot fix by adjusting the Fresh Air Flow Adjust or
the Span Gas Flow Adjust or by replacing the
filters, contact your local distributor or RKI
Instruments, Inc.
