Protecting stored messages
You can prevent unauthorised access to you
messages at the base station.
To protect stored messages

Create a remote access code, if you have not
already done so (see ‘Remote Access’, page 46).

WITHOUT.

Use the

button to select
WITH.

to confirm the selection.
You will be asked to enter your Remote access
code before messages are played back.
Recording a memo message
You can record a message on your DECTfax
Plus using your DECT handset. The memo can
be up to 90 second long. Memos are replayed
as incoming messages.
To record a memo

At the base station - Press
OK/Menu
then

. The display shows
43 RECORD MEMO.

OK/Menu
. The display shows
PLEASE OFF HOOK RECORD MEMO.

At the handset - Press the
Talk
button and
start speaking to record your outgoing
message. The display on the base station
shows
RECORD and the recording time left in
seconds.

Press the
Talk
button on the handset to stop
recording.

Press
Stop
at the base station to return to
standby. The
PLAY
light will flash and the
display will show that a new message has
been recorded.
If you have any mailboxes set up, the base station
will ask you for a mailbox number. If you want to
record the memo in a mailbox, enter the relevant
number (1 - 5). If you want to record in the main
memory, press
0
.
