If the high-pressure pump is used to pump a low-pressure gradient, then
the input for the high-pressure pump has to be connected to the low-
pressure gradient module. Follow the instructions in chapter Installing the
low-pressure gradient, page 43
.

3.10

Installing an inline filter

Inline filters reliably protect the separation column from potential contami-
nation from the eluent. The small filter plates with 2 µm pore size can be
replaced quickly and easily. They remove particles from the solutions, such
as bacteria and algae.

An inline filter (6.2821.120) is installed between the purge valve and the
pulsation absorber as protection against particles.
