Figure 2 Flow diagram for a 2-channel system shows the flow paths for a
system with one cation channel and one anion channel with application
of chemical suppression (MSM (2-9)):

Anion channel

With the upper high pressure pump (2-3), the
MSM (2-9)
and the left-hand conductivity detec-
tor (2-10).

Cation channel

With the lower high pressure pump (2-17) and
the right-hand conductivity detector (2-23).

The two channels can be operated in parallel or completely independently
of one another.
