Lens and Camcorder Cleaning
• Clean the lens with a soft brush to remove dust. If there are
fingerprints on the lens, remove them with a soft cloth.
• Clean the camcorder body with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth
tightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use
any type of solvent which may damage the finish.
Video Head Cleaning
Clean the video heads regularly before you start recording or
playing back to ensure normal recording and clear picture. When
the caution tamp in the viewfinder flashes rapidly, or when
playback pictures appear as below, the video heads may be
contaminated.

If this happens, clean the video heads with the optional cleaning
cassette Sony V8-25CLH. After checking the picture, if it is still
"noisy", repeat the cleaning. (Do not repeat cleaning more than
five times.)
Caution
Do not use a commercially available wet-type cleaning cassette. It
may damage the video heads.

If the V8'25CLH cleaning cassette is not available in your area,
consult vour nearest Sony dealer.
