Moisture Condensation

If you bring the camcorder directly from a cold place to a warm
place, moisture mav condense inside the camcorder, on the
surface of tiie tape, or on the lens. In this condition, the tape may
stick tt) the head drum and be damaged, or the unit may not

operate correctly. To prevent possible damage under these
circumstances, the camcorder is furnished with moisture sensors.

However, take the following precautions.

How to Prevent Moisture Condensation

When bringing the camcorder from a cold place to a warm place,
put the camcordt'T in a plastic bag aj»d leave it until it adapts to

the room conditions.

{1) Be sure to tightly seal the plastic bag containing the camcorder.
(2) Remove when the air temperature inside it has reached the
temperature surrounding it (in about one hour)

If Moisture Condenses Inside the Camcorder / On

the Surface of the Tape

When the (B or ± indicator flaslies in the viewfinder, this means

chat moisture has condensed inside the camcorder or there is

moisture on the tape. If this happens, none of the lunctioi\s except

cassette ejection will work

Eject the cassette, turn off the camcorder, and leave it with

the cassette holder open in a dry place for at feast one hour.

You can use the camcorder again if the (B and A indicator does
not appear again

H Moisture Condenses On the Lens

No indicator will appear, but the picture becomes dim. Turn off
the ¡’ouer and do not use the camcorder for about one hour.
