Precautions

• operate the unit on the power sources specHied

in "Specilications*.

• The namepiate indicating operating voltage, etc.

is located at the’botlom ol the unit (North and
South Amedcan'inodel) or at the bottom of the

AC power adaptor (other models).

• To disconnect Ihe power cord (mains lead), pull

it out by the plug; not the cord.

• The unit is not disconnected from the AC power

source (mains) as long as it is connected to the
vran outlet, even if the unit ilsell has been turned off.

• Do not ptaioe the unit on surfaces (mgs,

blankets, etc.) or near materials (curtains,
draperies) that block the ventilation holes.

• Should anything fan into the unit, unplug the unit

and have tt checked by qualified personnel
before operating It fur^.

• To dean the easing, use a soft doth dampened

with a mild detergmit sdution.

Please note that accordingly only Sound and

TV-Radio Receivers meant for the entire
population are allowed to be received via this set

It is prohibited to receive an other transmission

such as ponce radio or mobile radio.

Setting the Clock

1. Plug in the unit.

When you release

ENTER/CLOCK,

the

dock begins to operate and flashes.

• The dock system varies depending on Hie

model you own.

12-hour system: *AM 12:00* • midnight

24-hour system: t>:00* • midnight

• To set the current lime rapidly, keep pressing

ENTER/CLOCKand the ♦or-button together

to advance or return to a time that is within a few

minutes of the current time. Then press the ♦ or

- button to set the time to the current time.

Preset Tuning

Presetting the Station

You can preset up to $ stations in FM/AM(MW)f

LW with number^ buttons 1 loS.

Example: To sal AM 1260 kHz in preset number 2.

Tune in to AM 1260 kHz (See *Manual

Tuning").

PressENTERAXOCK.

‘P* flashes Ibr about 10 seconds.

Press the *2” button while “P" is flashing.

The beep sounds twice and the station

is preset Though the indication changes

to the current time after 10 seconds, the

preset number remains.

• To change the preset station, set a new station's

frequency in the number whose station you want
to changa. The previous troquen^ is canosled.

• Note that the preset 1 station is used tor the

wake up station of the radio alarm.

Tuning in a Preset Station

1. Press RADIO 0N/8LEEP to turn on the

radio.

2. Press the preset number button of the

station.

The band, frequency and preset number

appear in the display window. After 10
seconds, the indication changes to the

current time. The preset number

remains.

• To turn off the radio, press RADIO OFF/ALARM

RKET.

• To check the station you are Kstening to, press

the preset number buttoa The band and
frequency appear for 10 seconds.

Setting the Alarm

You can set the radio and buzzer alarms. The

wake up station is that preset in number 1.
To set the radio alarm, first preset a desired
station for wake up to the preset number 1 (see

*Prsset Tuning*), and adjust the volume.
