SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Replacing the Deck Engagement Belt
1. Stop engine, wait for all parts to stop moving, and disconnect
spark plug wire.
Release all mower controls.
Remove belt cover as Instructed earlier In this section.
Loosen the bolt and nut holding belt keeper rod to frame.

Remove spring (A) from timing bracket and deck. Figure 25.

Route new belt around the pulleys making sure to tighten nuts,
bolts, and belt keeper.
9.
Replace the belt cover.
