Edit-erase

When an undesirable object or sound is recorded, such as
someone walking across the picture or the sound of a car horn,
the edit-erase function can be used to quickly return to the
precise point where recording began, and record the scene
again. This function only operates during the first 40 seconds or
so of recording.

For about 40 seconds after starting to shoot a scene a >k
(asterisk) mark appears in the viewfinder next to the tape

operations display. The edit-erase function can be used while
this 5k mark is displayed.

1. Make sure that 3k (asterisk) is displayed, then

place camera in record pause mode. BE]

2. Press E. ERASE button.

• Tape is rewound to recording start point at 3 times normal

speed, and recorded picture is displayed (in reverse) in
viewfinder. Camera returns automatically to record pause
mode at the start of scene you want to record over.

• Asterisk disappears from viewfinder.

3. Press start/stop button to resume recording.

• Previously recorded scene is erased.
