Extension cables

• The power cable is kept intentionally short to reduce the risk of tangling or presenting a

tripping hazard.

• If a longer cable or an extension cable is required:
• 1) The power rating of the cable or extension cable must be no less than the rating of

the appliance.

• 2) The extension cable must a three-lead (grounded) cable.
• 3) Arrange the long cable so that it does not hang down from table or counter tops

where it can be pulled by children and that it does not present a tripping hazard.
