1.4

Indicator Operations

Basic operations are summarized below:

1.4.1

Enter % shrink

Use the numeric keypad to enter the shrink factor value, then press the

% SHRINK

key. The entered shrink factor

is applied to every weighment until the shrink factor is changed or the indicator is reset. This value is stored in the
eeprom to survive power cycles. The shrink factor limits are 0.00 to 99.00 percent. Default is 0.00 percent.

1.4.2

Toggle Units

Press the

UNITS

key to switch between primary and secondary units. The units annunciator arrow on the right side

of the LCD display points to the units identifier.

Note

Units cannot be changed once a group has been started.

1.4.3

Zero Scale

1. In gross mode, remove all weight from the scale and wait for

to display.

2. Press the

ZERO

key.

0

lights to indicate the scale is zeroed.

1.4.4

Load Total

1. Wait for

2. Press the

LOAD TOTAL

key when done with all load groups.

This will send load total data to the serial port. It will also clear the internal load total accumulators and the display
hold state. The Group Mode (group) annunciator will turn off.

Print Ticket

1. Wait for

2. Press the

PRINT

key to send data to the serial port.

The

PRINT

key has two different outputs based on the Group Mode (group) state.

• If indicator is not in group mode, PRINT will output the Gross weight displayed.

• If indicator is in group mode, PRINT will output (reprint) the group data of the last group weighed.

Note

The reprint of a ticket does not require the scale to be at a standstill.

1.4.6

Enter Head Count

1. Wait for

.

2. Use the numeric keypad to enter the number of animals on the scale, then press the

HEAD COUNT

key.

The head count limits are 1 to 99. If the value entered contains a decimal point, only the numbers to the
left of the decimal point are used.

3. If display hold mode is disabled, the group data will be immediately be sent to the serial port.

4. If display hold mode is enabled, the indicator will display -

SPL-

as the scale is sampled for the sampling

time duration. When the sample time is complete, the indicator will display the average weight of the
samples collected and will blink the current weight units annunciator indicating the display is being held.
The group data will then be sent to the serial port.

Note

When display hold mode is disabled, the scale needs to be at standstill to enter the head count.

When display hold mode is enabled, it does not need to be at stand still.
