Paper Types
You can use the following types of paper with this printer. The symbol indicates
paper that can be loaded, and indicates paper that cannot be loaded.
* 1 If the paper curls excessively when printed using the [Plain Paper] setting, select [Plain Paper L].
* 2 If you want to get improved fixing properties over the results of printing using the [Heavy Paper] setting, select
[Heavy Paper H].
* 3 When you are printing on label paper, set the paper type setting to [Plain Paper].
* 4 When printing Index Card or envelopes, the printer automatically selects the appropriate printing mode when you
select the paper size. You can change the paper size using the [Output Size] setting on the [Page Setup] sheet.
■ Plain Paper
This printer can print on plain paper with width in the range of 76.2 to 215.9 mm, length in
the range of 127.0 to 355.6 mm, and weight in the range of 64 to 90 g/m
2 including the
standard paper sizes: A4, B5, A5, Legal, Letter, and Executive.
■ Heavy Paper
This printer can print on heavy paper with width in the range of 76.2 to 215.9 mm, length
in the range of 127.0 to 355.6 mm, and weight in the range of 91 to 163 g/m
2 including the
standard paper sizes: A4, B5, A5, Legal, Letter, and Executive.
■ Transparencies
This printer can print on A4 and Letter size transparencies.
IMPORTANT
Thoroughly fan through each sheet before loading transparencies as they easily stick to
each other.
■ Label Paper
This printer can print on A4 and Letter size label paper.
