AMERICAN DYNAMICS ALARM
INTERFACE

This video switcher interface is used for systems with single Monitor and multiple Cameras. It is

compatible with American Dynamics RS232 Alarm Input.

The Network Address of the DNA200 is programmed for the Masterstation/DAD104 using the video monitor. This
programming is done in the DXC901 or DXC910. No configuration is required for the sub stations with camera.
No configuration is required for monitor and cameras in the DNA200.
The substations call number is used for the alarm number in the protocol.

COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL

8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, hardware flow control (RTS/CTS).

MESSAGE FORMAT

The message format is in the following sequence for output messages from the DNA200:

-Three Character ASCII Call number of intercom sub station with camera.

EVENT

-One Character ASCII E = Sub station connecting to master station.

I = Sub station disconnecting from master station.

RS

-One Character ASCII a = Message separator.

Examples:

1.

Master station 100 answers call (on DAD104) from sub station 105: 105Ea

2.

Master station 100 parks sub station 105: 105Ia

3.

Master station 100 unparks sub station 105: 105Ea

4.

Master station 100 cancels sub station 105: 105Ia
