Installing a Replacement Hard Drive

Install the HDD Carrier
1.
The HDD carrier is mounted in the chassis by two guide rails and a mounting tab. The
carrier must also fit inside the 3.5” chassis opening flanges. See
Carrier Guide Rails and Mounting Tab location”
.
2.
Connect the power and SATA cables to the connections on the rear of the HDD.
3.
Lower the carrier in the chassis such that the carrier is held between the two guides.
4.
Pull the ejector lever towards the back, and gently slide the carrier forward to seat into
place. Ensure that the HDD carrier mounting tab is positioned underneath the DVD
drive mounting tab.
5.
Release the ejector lever, and continue pushing forward until the ejector lever latches
into place.
6.
Push unused power cables into the space on top of the HDD.

7.
Reinstall the CPU into the central station location.
8.
Reconnect all cables to the CPU and power on to confirm proper operation of the new
HDD.
