Propaq Audio Alarm Holdoff with Acuity

When a Propaq is connected to an Acuity System, the audio
alarms at the bedside monitor are delayed for 10 seconds. When
the monitor informs Acuity that an alarm condition has occurred,
Acuity does the following:

Produces the audio and visual alarm at the Acuity Central
Monitor.

Sends the bedside monitor a signal that delays the bedside
audio alarm for 10 seconds (the bedside monitor displays the
visual alarm indications without delay).

After the 10-second delay, the bedside audio alarm occurs.

note...

This audio alarm holdoff does

not

occur for the following:

Neonatal mode (Propaq Encore)

Apnea (Propaq Encore and Propaq 100 Series)

Alarm Holdoff
