Is the AC mains lead stiii connected to the unit

while batteries are being used?

Disconnect the AC mains lead.

Are the batteries flat?

Replace them with new ones. Alternatively, use a
household mains outlet as the power source.

Have the batteries been installed incorrectly with

their {+) and (-) polafitles reversed?

Align the (+) and (-) polarities correctly.

“ERROR” appears.

Have you made a mistake in operation?

Read the operating instructions and try again.

“U01” appears.

The batteries are flat.

Replace them with new ones, Alternatively, use a

household mains outlet as the power source.

“U02” appears.

Preparations have not been made to supply

power to the unit.

Install the batteries or connect the AC mains lead.

While listening to CD

Is the unit’s sensor exposed to direct sunlight or
strong fluorescent light?

Shield the sensor from strong sources of light.
