Operation

• Switch on the power switch a.
• Make sure that the cooling water flow rate

>1.2 L/min (≤ 25 °C) is pulse-free and does not
exceed 2.7 bar.

• The

ECO

-models of the Scrubber K-415 come

equipped with an automatic water-control. The
automatic water control will start the flow of
cooling water automatically once the instrument
is switched on and stop it, when the instrument
is switched off (this is also valid, if the K-415 is
controlled via a digester).

• The suction performance can be regulated,

using the bypass valve b. To reduce the suction
perfomance, turn the knob counter-clockwise.
Turning the knob clockwise will close the valve
and maximise the suction performance.

NOTE
For most applications it is recommended to keep the bypass valve completely closed and to work
with the maximum available suction performance.

In case you find out the suction performance is to high for your requirements (e.g. for small sample
volumes or small numbers of samples) turn the knob counter-clockwise until the suction performance
is reduced to an adaquate proportion.

The bypass valve can be adjusted in the range of 100 to 400 mbar below atmospheric pressure.
