3.1.5 CONFIGURE PASSWORD
There are 2 password levels. Password level 1 protects access to the ID functions and the clear

memory functions. Password 2 protects access to the configure and system initialize

functions.

LEVEL 1 PROTECTED FUNCTIONS:

ID1, ID2, ID3, TRANSACTION, &

CLEAR MEMORY.

LEVEL 2 PROTECTED FUNCTIONS:

CONFIGURE & INIT SYSTEM.

Activate the CONFIGURE menu and press the ENTER key when the DT210 displays 'CONFIG

PASSWORD'.

The DT210 prompts: "EN PASSWORD 1 N"

Enter a 'Y' to enable the password or an 'N' to disable the password. If the password is enabled:

The DT210 prompts: "ENTER PASSWORD 1"

Enter up to 7 characters for the new password. Press the ENTER key to complete the password

entry.

The above steps are repeated for password 2 .

WARNING: ONCE A PASSWORD IS ENTERED IT MUST BE MEMORIZED. IF YOU

FORGET THE PASSWORD THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS THE

PROTECTED FUNCTIONS.

The PASSWORD function inserts an additional step when accessing protected functions:

The DT210 prompts: "ENTER PASSWORD".

The correct password must be entered before proceeding.

3.1.0 PRINT DT210 CFG

Activate the CONFIGURE menu and press the ENTER key when the DT210 displays 'PRINT

DT210 CFG'. The DT210 sends the configuration data to the printer. Activate this function after

installation and keep the printout with the DT210 manual.
