Cleaning the Light Trap
From time to time the light trap should be cleaned
with clean, dry air to remove any dust or
contamination.
The light trap is taken apart by compressing the
lower part on both sides of the case with your
fingers, and then separating the two sections.
The black glass should be cleaned using a clean,
lint-free cloth. In the second step, wipe off the glass
with alcohol. You must let the glass dry completely
before taking a light trap reading.
Exact calibration is not possible unless the
standard is in perfect condition. If the condition of
the standard seems doubtful because of its
appearance or measurement errors, we will be
happy to check it for you.
